The Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE), established in 1912 with the mission of "uniting engineers," "researching engineering science," and "applying engineering and technology to promote public welfare and social well-being." CIE aims to achieve its vision of "respecting nature and environment, integrating innovative values, and creating a happy tomorrow."
